I just saw that Mr. Boone passed. I am so sad and grateful that I had several opportunities to attend his presentations in Casper, WY at the Annual Substance Use/Methamphetamine Conference. I have used his videos in my private practice for a number of years and have always looked forward to his material. My heart goes out to Mr. Boone's family on his passing. He was a great man.

Delbert was a great friend and mentor, we worked together at Carpenter Healthcare in the early 90's. My condolences to Nina and the rest of the family. I will cherish the times we spent together.

Delbert was a great friend to the Georgia School of Addiction Studies. He presented at the School many times and was always one of our highest rated speakers. We will certainly miss his infectious smile and his wonderful energy. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Boone family.

My deepest sympathy to you Nina and family. Delbert was my buddy. I met him thru John but we branched off and he became my friend. I went to the conference in St. Louis a couple of times and had a ball with him Joanne, Doug and Michael. I will never ever forget the memories. Who mails their clothes?? Although we did not talk often I could always call him just to chat. He will truly be missed. My prayers will continue to flow for you and your family.

Delbert was first my Mentor and second my buddy ... I knew whenever he would work in Virginia we would try to go shopping and have dinner-- where we would catch up on family and careers. He restored in me first the belief that there are professional, intelligent, fun, down-to-earth, talented folk who are genuine ... And mostly, RECOVERY WORKS! Thanks Boone-family for sharing your jewel with the rest of us--he is already missed. He was my friend, and a mesmerizing speaker to my clients and colleagues. I am certain that he is still a shining star. Peace and love.

Nina,my sympathy to you and Haley. Delbert and I had a very special bond. He met my wife and told me always treat my queen like gold. We enjoyed meals along with conversation whenever he came to my area. Countless times on the telephone. He would call me to meet him at the federal correction center in Petersburg for his presentations. He told me that whenever I retired he would be there. Little did I know he set up a presentation and focused attention on me as his friend and that I was retiring. My most memorable moment was when he invited me to come to St. Louis and introduced me to Joanne and staff of FMS production company who made the videos. He treated me like gold the entire week and showered me with his videos and gave me a DVD player after saying I know you don't have anything to play them on:).We had a lot in common and often discussed our life history and ended it with a hug and smile. Thanks for sending the e-mail and calling me. My wife Charlotte and I will keep you and your family in prayer. John and Charlotte Haywood.

I want to express my sympathy to Nina, Haley and all of Delbert's family. What privilege it was for me to get to know the real Delbert. I first met him through his videos. We formed a friendship based on being in the addiction field and fishing. I went on 4-5 trips to Canada with Delbert. These are memories I will treasure forever. My heart aches for Delbert's family. I am very sad and will miss my friend. Love and Prayers-- Roger and Rita
