Goldman, Jerome, passed peacefully at home on March 19th, 2015. Jerry was a lifelong, proud New Yorker. Born, raised and educated in Brooklyn, he eventually settled in Manhattan. A talented designer and writer, he worked at various jobs from advertising to comedy writing, before starting a business with his brother, Marvin. Penn-Plax became one of the most respected family-run pet product manufacturers in the country. Aside from his achievements, he was unfailingly kind, intelligent, warm, interested in life and art in equal measure. A wonderful father to his daughter Dina and loving grandfather to Rafael, he was also an inspiringly optimistic man, even when faced with illness. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Service Sunday, March 22, 2015, 11:15am at “The Riverside”, 76th and Amsterdam.
