“Ron”, 72, of New York City, passed away Sunday May 10, 2015. Ron was born in Brooklyn, son of the late Helen and Sol Feiner. He is survived by his devoted partner of over 20 years, Karen Brooks Hopkins, loving children Daniel and Anna, Daniel’s wife Meredith, his grandsons Chase and Dylan, brother Joel and his wife Gail, stepson Matt and his wife Annie and their three daughters.
Ron graduated from Rutgers University and the University of Maryland School of Law. He practiced entertainment law for over 40 years, representing clients in theatre, television, film, music, and not-for-profit. Ron was regularly included in Super Lawyers magazine’s annual list. Ron also served on the Board of Trustees for the Brooklyn Academy of Music and St. Ann’s Warehouse.
Ron was a wonderful, caring, and beautiful spirit, with a great sense of humor. He was a gifted artist, passionate sports fan, lover of music and theater, and doting grandfather. Ron treasured spending time in Montauk with Karen, friends, and family. Ron had a magical heart and will live on in the memory of all who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Mount Sinai Medical Center.
