LINDSAY DEAK FRIEDMAN died suddenly in her sleep at home on May 25, 2015 in Brooklyn, NY at the age of 37.
Lindsay is survived by her husband Jason Friedman; her parents Robin Adelman (Barry) and Les Deak (Moshira); her sister Amanda, brother Travis Deak (Lindsay) and nephew Logan; her step-brothers and sisters Todd Adelman (Rebecca) and their daughter Abilene who gave her the nickname of Noodle; Lauren Adelman Perez (Sergio) and nephew Atticus; Adam Namoury (Celia), and Andrew Namoury; her mother-in-law Elaine Friedman and father-in law Jerry Friedman; her brother-in-law Michael Friedman (Danielle) and their children Adam, Eric and Julie; and by her beloved dog Marvin.
Lindsay was Vice President of Talent at Vimeo. She loved her job and her co-workers. More than that, she will be defined by her deep love for her family and friends. She was a loving, generous, witty and beautiful woman who brightened up the lives of all her knew her. Above all came her love for her husband, her family and her dog.
She was avid about issues related to domestic violence awareness and cancer and often participated in events to raise money related to these issues. Lindsay was an extraordinary woman who impacted all the lives that she touched. She will be missed by all and will continue to be a large part of her family.
A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday May 27, 2015 at 2:00pm at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 W. 76th St., NY. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lindsay’s all too short life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Safe Horizon, Donor Services, 2 Lafayette Street, 3rd Floor, NY, NY 10007.
