Passed away at home on Friday night at 69, due to cancer. She was born in 1946, in a displaced persons camp in Germany, to survivors of the Holocaust, Sarah and William Berger. She grew up in Brooklyn and earned a BA from Brooklyn College. She raised her family in Scarsdale before moving to Manhattan in 2014. She is survived by her loving children, Lauren and Max; her daughter-in-law, Sarah; her granddaughter, Genevieve; her sister, Beverly, and her dear cousin, Adela. She was preceded in death by her brother, Barry, and her beloved husband, Arthur, with whom she spent 43 beautiful years, filled with sailing and skiing adventures. She was also an avid gardener, art and antique collector, cyclist, tennis and mahjong player, and loved spending summers in East Hampton with her family and friends. Funeral services on Monday 9:30 at Riverside Memorial Chapel, Upper Westside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the New York Botanical Garden or the UJA.
